There has been talk about that. However, I've been a member for years, and, in the past, it has not been uncommon for the site to be down for weeks during the summer. The usual explanation has been a "whoops--away on vacation" kind of thing. Who knows?
I review the site daily and last night the "home" tab had some very foul language and a message that looked like someone had hacked in the site. I noticed today that the site is down completely. I hope it will be back in use soon.
I also cannot access another one of my favorite forum's SewWhat'sNew. Having touble with both SWN and SewingWorld I was starting to think it might just be my computer giving me problems.
SewWhat'sNew was definitely hacked into and is being rebuilt at the moment. The discussions are accessible although some of them have had all their information lost and have to start form scratch. I think this is so sad and cannot understand what anybody gets out of hacking into a sewing site of all things.
I am happy to report Sew Whats New is back up and running, albeit at a reduced size and speed. Hackers did quite the job this time, despite security measures being in place and existing firewall, etc.
