shoe inserts

princess | Posted in Patterns on

dear all, i’m looking for a pattern for shoe inserts, the kind you put in to keep the shoes shape when you’re not wearing them.  vogue used to have a pattern but i think its discontinued.  any clues.  thanks, diane

Vogue may still have it in backstock if it's been discontinued within a year.  Otherwise, you might try ebay, "vintage pattern sites" like rustyzipper.com, or posting a note to the sewing wants list at rummageads.com.

I don't recall seeing anything labeled as you described, but I'm picturing sort of a slipper-shaped bag filled with some sort of heavy drying material like kitty litter. Perhaps you could fake your own pattern from a slipper pattern if that's the case.
