Hello,

My granddaughter is very tiny. How do I shorten a snowsuit bib overalls? I just joined this site and I love it already. Thanks.

Well, I don't know what you've got there, but generally snow pants have 2 layers on the bottom with the elastic snow gaurd, and the overpant.  Then there's zippers and sometimes a boot strap.  So I would seriously consider taking them up at the waist and not the bottom.  Now, you've got bibs on your hands, so you'll need to check the crotch depth on her.  If it's good, you don't want to shorten there either.  I would probably take a tuck or two below the knee reinforcement pad and above the snow gaurd.  People these days are used to seeing that tuck on boys pants with the zipper off legs.  So no one will think it's strange that a little girl has a tuck in her britches below the knee.  You'll want to do the outer material and the lining separately.  Otherwise, the water and cold will go through the seam.  Do it in a way that's not permanent, she'll wear them again next year with the length added back.

Thank you so much for your quick answer. I will try what you have suggested.
