Silk Tricot Fabric

Grannys8 | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I have agreed to make a bridesmaid’s dress in a size that is not available and I have not been able to find the matching fabric. If any one has a resource for black silk tricot please let me know. I would also like to know what I can use as a subsitute. Thanks

How about silk jersey? You should be able to find this at B and J in NYC also http://www.banksvilledesignerfabrics.com

Maybe the store making the other dresses would be willing to sell you some fabric.

They have silk knits in a couple of different weights. You might want to request a swatch or call them and ask them how close they are to tricot weight.
