Singer 128K cast iron hand crank” serial number “N0053029” ???

Hi I am looking at ” Singer 128K cast iron hand crank” the seller gives “N0053029” a its serial number?? I have looked at various ‘serial’ sites but can’t find it – am i missing something??

Yes, you are. Serial sites are all about software. This serial number is for a mechanical device, an old Singer sewing machine. Made long before computers were a thing. Are you looking to buy this machine?

I will keep searching, the seller found this number on the bottom of the machine, The point you make about the possibility that it is a part number of an item an not the machine serial number is a good one - thanks

Michael, I don't really know anything about the serial numbers but I did look at the website you showed. Wouldn't your serial number be included in the 5th entry down? It goes from 49001 to 64000 and yours is 53029.
