Singer 193q / 193m model – parts simularity to other models

Singer193 | Posted in Sewing Machines & Sergers on

Hi,

I’m keen on buying a Singer Treadle sewing machine. I think it is a 60s model 193q (Made in Mexico). It might be an m model.

There is almost no info online about this model. I want to use it so am concerned about replacement parts. Is it safe to assume that most parts are interchangeable with more popular models like the 15 / 66 or others?  Does anyone have any info in this regard. I want to buy the machine with foot peddle setup, but want to use it and not be stuck with a show piece only.

Thank you kindly
Francois
