   If you want more info, you can order a manual from Singer for $15.00:

   http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html - just type in the model number to get the exact manual.

   Check out the Sears Manage My Home site.  If they sold that model, you may be able to get a downloadable manual for free.  (I spent an hour trying to find one to buy before I discovered that it was there just for the finding!)

   It's http://www.managemyhome.com.  There's a registration required, but you can request not to be on any emailing or promotional lists.  Within the site, you do a search for Sewing Machine manual plus your machine name and model number.
