   We're mostly pleased that we get to look at all that marvelous work up close! It's always incredibly difficult to narrow the field down from the many entries to the contest, and then to choose winners from the finalists. What's amazing is how far some of the participants take a technique--we almost don't recognize the original idea. My only regret is that I don't have the time myself to sew at the level of the contest entrants.

   They almost don't fit into the catergory of clothing.  They're more like a museum pieces.  I envy you the chance to get up close.       rjf
