Solving upper back dilemas

SeoulSearch | Posted in Fitting on

Hi everyone!

Thank you for your suggestions. Now I must ask a very naive question: exactly what is the armscye? I could not find this word in my sewing books or even in my dictionary! I’m assuming it’s the armhole… where the sleeve is set in? Probably sounds obvious but I wanted to make sure.

I never knew a higher armhole would help. I’m going to make some adjustments today–I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the input!

Kim

The armscye is indeed the armhole. If you want to measure it, you stand your tape measure on edge and go along the seam allowance.
