I'm looking for a source for pattern tracing paper that has marking dots on it at 1" intervals (or lines I suppose). Preferably 60" wide. Anyone know where it can be ordered?

*I use a LOT of tracing paper. It is not the paper that you are asking for, but I like mine better.I use DOCTOR'S PAPER. That's right, it's what you sit on every time that you go to the doctors office and have to get up on that table. It's cheap, It's durable enough, it folds up nice so you can pack it in your pattern envelope, it is easy to mark on, it is thin enough so that you can see right through it to trace from the pattern placed under it. You don't need those 1" marks if you have a gridded mat under your doctor's paper [be sure to use the hard white kind]. This DOCTOR'S PAPER only comes in a 22" width, but scotch tape takes care of that 60" problem. And most of the time this width is the best anyway. Unless you are making very, very wide pattern.I draft custom patterns every day for individuals and this paper what I like to use. I just go down to my local doctor's office and buy the paper from them. It costs me $4.75 per roll. The roll is 3" thick and has about a 1 1/2" center. There are two kinds of paper at the doctors office, one is a glazed paper and the other has a soft, fuzzy, fabric feel to it. You will want the glazed paper only. But now after telling you all this, I will tell you where you can get what you are asking for. Contact FASHION PATTERNS BY CONI, 2370 West Highway 89-A, Suite 11, Sedona, AZ 86336-5349. Phone [520] 204-9362. I met the owner of this business at a Sewing Expo. She, Connie Crawford, uses the paper that you are asking for and she also sells it, or else she will tell you where you can get it in the width you want. Also check out the great fitting books that she offers.

*Also try Oregon Tailor's Supply if you want a simply enormous roll, and things like pattern notchers. My personal preference is an artist's drafting vellum with one inch squares, gridded to the quarter inch, and 24 inches wide. It's got body and is semi-transparent, and I like to roll my patterns. If you are making them professionally, it's probably too expensive, but I like it for just me.
