Some of you have asked where there is a good apparel fabric store in S. and central Florida. Try Jay’s Fabrics on S. Pasadena in St. Pete. It is a good sized mom & pop with much better quality fabrics than JoAnn. I have found some designer fabrics there. September is their anniversary month and all month long they have a very good sale. Don’t bother going to Tampa (Queens fabrics has a very small selection). Other than Jay’s, I make a pilgrimage to Gail K. Fabrics in Atlanta.

fabric store in Central Florida
There is a fabulous store "the Sewing Studio "in Maitland, a suburb of Orlando. They carry a good variety
of specialty fabrics, bridal fabrics and accessories, quilting fabrics and great selection of spandex for
dance and swimwear. If you go, plan to spend some time--staff is very helpful.
Does anyone know of any in South FL?
I am finding it very hard to locate a good one besides Joanns. Thanks for the Orlando hint if I get up there one day I will sure stop in!
