Hi all,
I received a special promo from Embroidery Library. In that email they invited me to share the Code for special pricing with all my sewing friends.
Check out their site at www.emblibrary.com All week you can buy one design and get one FREE. Shop their whole store and buy as many as you like. When you check out in the Gift Certificate space, type in “July4” (but omit the quotation marks) and it will show your special savings.
This is a great deal and it lasts until midnight next Tues (that’s USA CT).
No, I am not connected in any way except that I am a customer. I get email specials and a weekly newsletter from them. This time I was instructed to share with anyone and everyone…….including forums, so I did!
Happy Embroidering!!

Hi Kay, I frequently check out the site there are some nice designs, but what about the stitch outs, travel threads and colour changes? I have been sorely disappointed in the past with some awefully shoddy work. kindest regards, wombat
Were you referring to the bad results and shoddy work from Emb. Library? If so, I'm surprised. I have many of their designs and use them almost exclusively.......the only problems I have had is 'operator error'....i.e.....improper hooping usually! Can't blame them for that.
I have great luck with the colors because I have a Madeira thread collection and they use Madeira for their color change sheets. I print out the color change sheet and then download my designs on a floppy (my machine takes USB but I have an external floppy drive). I've always had great luck. It makes a person wonder since their prices are so reasonable but I guess we can't always go by that.
I'm attaching a few of my projects so you can see. The photos aren't the greatest but hopefully you can get an idea........and if you want to see more.....I just happen to have more!! LOL
Kay
P.S. - let me know what you think.
Thanks for the heads up, Kay. Your work looks great. I hope Wally will comment some more about her problems with them.Marcy
Hi Marcy,
I hope she does, too! I'm curious to hear if its Emb. Library where she's had trouble. In my haste I failed to mention that anyone wanting to see how their things stitch out can go to http://www.emblibrary.com That should take you to the home page and from there on the right hand side there are headings for different things.....one being Emb. Library Projects. If you click on that it take you to their Projects site (this is the site where you can access their helpful videos, etc.) and then at the top of that page you will see 'tabs' shaped like file folder tabs. Click on 'Stitchers' Showcase' tab and you can view tons of photos from 'real' people. These are things people have done in their homes, on their machines. These photos are like the photo gallery on the threads forum........they are not professionally done.
Hope this info helps.
Happy Stitching!
Kay
Can't wait to check it out. Thanks.Marcy
Very nice work! Thanks for sharing, I especially appreciate the patriotic ones! I covered a jean jacket for my grand daughter with patriotic designs. It turned out great. Mary
Hi Kay and Marcy, owe you both an appology, my displeasure was definately not with Emb Library just asking in general about the workman ship. Definately did'ent want to be disappointed again. I have almost all of Sue Box's collection, the 4th series of The Adoration Collection (Swiss), also have The Generation Softwear. I've seen some designs at the library site I now know I can go ahead and purchase and be delighted with the results. I checked out your designs Kay very nice loved the birds. Very sorry for the confusion I caused.
warmest regards,
wombat
No apologies needed. I was just surprised IF if was Emb. Library where you had experienced problems since I think their designs are all top-notch. I've not gotten many others because I like Emb. Library's designs and the fact that they are so affordable.........and you can purchase just one or a whole pack. I rarely buy the packs. I have looked at some of the other sites and find some of them quite costly.......are they really that much nicer?
Happy Stitching!
Kay
Hi Kay, the fact that you can buy single designs is whats so appealing, as you say some of the packs are expensive. THe adoration Collection X 6 $53 over 2 years, are truely exquized as you woull expect from the Swiss, very femanine florals ,laces, bows and things. I've always loved Sue Box, (she has always been cheaper than the Janome discs the reason why I originally started to pick up her collections). I have a passion for teddy bears you could call it an addiction but thats another story. Check out http://www.suebox.com in particular timeless teddy bears, enchanted fairies and woodland treasures, there is a free download with each design series. Let me know what you think.
warm regards,
wombat
Thanks for the link. I just looked and the designs are gorgeous. I will bookmark the site so I don't forget it. The designs are more elegant than most of my projects. Much of my work goes to grandkids..........toddlers and up. Even the teens aren't into florals and pretty feminine things these days.......at least not around these parts. When I have a spare moment I will download one of her freebies and stitch it out..........just for fun.....or maybe for something lovely of myself! Now, that would be a switch!! I think I've visited her site before but didn't really spend much time looking..............this time I did! Beautiful!
Thanks again!Kay
Wow! I have never had an issue with any of thier designs. For embroidery, I mostly use Sulky thread so I do go to thier thread exchange and then make my own decision on the color choices that make the most sense to me. If they don't advertise a Sulky color, I choose several other brands in thier search and then decide which color Sulky works best.
Hi Kay,
Based on your recommendation and from reading some earlier posts, I ordered a couple of designs from Embroidery Library. My machine is stitching out one of the designs right now, and I have to say I'm impressed with the stitch quality. Thanks for sharing this site. I look forward to visiting them often!
So glad you like it!
