Steam irons

Do any of you have steam irons that youlove and/or
    swear by?

I have a Rowenta "control," which is about six years old, and it seems to
have bitten the dust -- a problem in itself since I think an iron should
last much longer. It has the beeper that sounds after 8 minutes of inactivity,
which drives me crazy when I'm sewing.

If I replace my current iron, I want something that has lots of steam, is
not too heavy to iron seven or eight heavy cotton shirts, as well as
sundry other items in any given week, and that has no beeper, or if there is
a beeper, one which sounds at much longer intervals than 8 minutes. Any
    suggestions?

*Re. steam irons: I've been using my Rowenta TRAVEL iron since my household Panasonic model died, and I really need heavy steam for sewing... can anyone comment on the Rowenta model with the large, separate reservoir vs. the Euro Pro with the large, separate reservoir? (Perhaps they are called gravity-feed models?).Thanks a lot.- Joan
