Suggestion for inexpensive sewing machin

highlands | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Hi,

I am new to the sewing world.
I am young mother of twins and would like to create clothes and use a sewing maching for basic garment sewing.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a inexpensive sewing machine for beginner sewer?
I appreciate any assistance.
Thanks Highlands

Walmart has taken the nice basic Brother PC-2800 and packaged it as a CS-8072

... I have the PC-2800 and it is a nice machine (just don't ask me how I feel about paying twice as much as Walmart is asking for it over a year ago!!)... (Brother is introducing the NX-200 to replace the PC-2800).

It is a nice starter machine that makes lovely buttonholes.

Thank you as I will go out and purchase one this weekend!
