Oh how sweet, pink is her color. What a beautiful little lady. Great job.
Dear Rodezzy
thanks for the kind words! and yes pink is defiantly her color, since she was born i always tried to dress her in pink and her twin brother in blue. as they got older it rubbed of on her and she just loves wearing pink.
How pretty - both the outfit & the daughter. I have to agree with Rodezzy - your daughter looks lovely in pink.
By the way, welcome back - we haven't heard from you for awhile.

Nice of you to notice but i was'nt away, just too busy to post what with work, kids and trying to finish my May challange that turned into june chalange... so i would look through the gatherings as top speed and get inspired and jealous and go sew. i didn't finish the list but i made a dent in the pile and hope to keep on before it turns into a september challange.

Yes, I thought you had been busy with your family (not away on vacation). Don't you also have a new baby? Actually, you've been doing well with your monthly challenges - you're not that behind with all the other things you have on the go. There are only so many hours in a day :) Keep chipping away at that pile - it'll eventually be done (until the new pile starts).

Such a Happy jumper and hat, no wonder your daughter is smiling. Such nice work. I miss sewing things like that for my girls. Cathy
i love sewing girly things for my girls, and they love getting them!

Oh, lovely. And that beaming face says it all.
Lovely outfit and lucky little girl! What fun, isn't it?
and her beaming face also shows her pride that you made it. Lovely picture.

This looks lovely - just noticed it - do you make anything for her twin?
when they were smaller i used to make matching outfits (i might be able to dig up some pictures if your interested. as they got bigger, and I had less time to sew, i gave up more or less on the boys clothes, not creative enough .
but, i have some shirts of my husband that he doesn't wear and i hope to sew some shirts for my boys.(that was my june challenge that never got done)

I can imagine its difficult making stuff for boys that they think is cool enough to be worn. Boys in school, for me, have to be very determined - or individual to admit they like their work in textiles. They do make the odd shirt, tie and bag though!
Mind you, that isn't the same as wearing something your mum made. I can imagine he is getting to the age when peer pressure kicks in (can work for girls too)make the most of it with your daughter. I had 2 daughters and up until they were about 12/13 it was ok for mum to make their stuff but after that they started to want the cheap throwaway stuff all teenagers liked. It goes full circle though, daughters now starting to make their own stuff ....at 29/7!!
She looks so pretty and pleased with her special dress made with love. I love the roses fabric, it looks super! Mary
