Hi
I would like to make my own swimming costume with some lovely lycra I already have. I am thinking about taking my old custume apart and using it for a pattern.
Good idea or not? I am a medium at sewing.

you may not need to take your suit apart. (and i wouldn't). patterns can be drafted from intact garments by pinning out one area at a time to a good undersurface, like a cork board, and working along in sections.
try sewing on your fabric a little first, to make sure you get the technique down. sewing on stretch lycra can take practice
hi
thanks for the advice. I will experiment with the fabric first
