This year my son 19yrs. and his friends wanted to have theme group costumes to wear to a costume party, so we created Power Ranger costumes by dying long johns and creating the rest out of felt….They were a hit, and they wear the costumes to concerts just to be bold and different. It is fun to please a teenager!

Beauvette: You are a totally cool Mom. The costumes are fun. Well Done! Scrubble4
How fun! I'm sure your son and his friends were the talk of the party. You did a great job on the costumes.
What a hoot! Looks like they are quite the "characters" enjoying some wholesome fun! Great costumes. Mary
I think it's great that 19-year-olds would choose to be Power Rangers. What self-confidence that shows. Who's idea was it? The costumes are fabulous.
Sherry
Thanks,
It was all their idea! They are the most confident group of kids around. They wanted a group theme that needed five. One of them had been interested in the Power Rangers as a child, so they started looking on the internet for costumes. Being the procrastinators that many teens are, waited until four days before the big day and having little money, they were about scrap the idea when I showed them my thoughts on the situation. I think the only thing I would have done different was use 100% cotton long johns. The color would have been brighter.
Honey. that is so sweet and cute. I love it, and love them for being fun kids.
Always encourage teens to remain young at heart. Here are two more pictures of the Power Rangers.
Hi, I am late to the party, but I had to tell you. The costumes are great, innovative, entertaining. I hope you belong to your local ASG chapter. You have wonderful ideas and follow up. jane
What a hoot! I really chuckled when I saw the photo. This is the kind of thing my 23 yr old and his friends would do. LOL
Your idea of using longjohns was a good one. I was asst. wardrobe mistress for the Peru (IN) Amateur Circus for 3 yrs. We usually have around 200 kids between the ages of 7 and 21 in the circus, which has performed in Europe on several occasions. Your costumes reminded me of some of the costumes we made for the kids. One year we made "Wonder Woman" costumes for an act. We always use strechy lycra to make the boys' pants. Unfortunately, the boys are always required to wear girdles; yep, the kind that women used to wear. Keeps everything "rated G."
