Good afternoon everyone:
This is my first time ever posting a note online. I’ve read some of the messages and I’m like…”GREAT! I’m not alone and someone out there can actually answer my questions!” I’m 25 and storngly desiring to design a line of bed linens for newborns. However, I have no clue where to start. My degree is in fashion design. Yet, since graduation(2002) I’ve been working in various positions in retail until I figured out exactly what I wanted to do. Well, that time has come. I now work at my companies corporate office, but I realize…this isn’t me. After much thought and narrowing my ideas down, I figured out designing bed linens is the way to go. I began drawing a few prints and they’re adorable (FYI: I can draw much better than I can sew). My question is where do I start to have samples of my prints created? What company would create swatches in the actual fabrics I desire to use for a story board?
Does anyone have any leads??
Thanks!

You need to research fabric printing companies. There are lots out there. Try a web search using the phrase - fabric printing companies. Here's one:

I know there are several that advertise in the Craft Reports magazine and in Fiber Arts magazine. You might try picking up those publications and flipping to the ads in the back.
Good luck !
