Thanks for the Gathering Site
Although I hardly ever chat on the site, I’m always sneaking in reading all the comments and really enjoy the conversations. I’ve been bad about getting involved in the conversations but I want you all to know that I find all your posts extremely helpful in so many topics and I always visit the suggested ones.
Also, I really enjoy looking at the pictures and wish there were more showing actual clothing. It is really motivating to see and it motivates me to sew more. Something I’ve noticed too is that we all seem to be in the same age bracket…mid 50’s.
The purpose of this post it to let you know that I value this gatherings site eventhough I am not chatting much. Keep up the good work and I apologize that I have not been more engaged with you ladies. I will work on that.
Do join us around our 'kitchen tables' or sewing machines - there's always room for one more (or more). We're a nice bunch & we consider ourselves friends, even though many of us have never met in person. Some of us are even older than our 50s :) - & some are much younger. Any age is welcome. Do provide your input, too.
Hi Sewitfits - I've been a member for awhile but don't post very much. Gatherings is a great site and I pick up new tips and information and hate to admit that I also pick up old information I already knew but it was filed way back in my brain somewhere in a very safe place. Maybe I should drink more coffee - do you suppose that would help??
Not really, but it makes reading and conversing with friends here a very pleasant experience. :) Cathy
Never acquired a taste for coffee! Maybe when I "grow up". But I love taking a pause for the cause and chatting here. Not only do I giggle, I LEARN so much from the dialogue and I get inspired from the pictures and the descriptions of everyone's projects. When someone puts a feeler out there to solve a specific issue, my mind really starts reeling with the creative solutions that everyone tosses out. It really expands the creative possibilities!
Gosh - I'm not grown up yet and I can't possibly give my age because it's getting higher and soon I won't be able to count that high!!
Welcome to the club! I tell my kids that I have been 16 twice, working on the 3rd time round. Even kids have to be responsible at times. I am never going to grow up. Having too much fun. Cathy
