The Best PJ Pants for girls ages 6 -18

pins13 | Posted in Patterns on

Hi,

I want to make PJ pants for Chirstmas gifts to give to a Children’s Home for charity.

Coluld any of you recommend a pattern having the best general fit for girls

age 6 – 18?

Let me know I want to get started as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!

God bless You for such a wonderful gift.  I am sure they will be greatly appreciated.  I like Kwik Sew patterns for my grand daughter.  I think most pattern brands run about the same in childrens sizes.

I used Butterick 5107 for girls' (it's a woman's pattern available in xs) until it fell apart; then I used Simplicity 7092 and 2063.

The most important thing for girls is to shorten the crotch length on these patterns unless it states that the waistline falls 2" or so below the natural waistline.  All the girls and young women I know have grown up with short-rise jeans, and they hate having anything tied around their middle.  On pajamas, a slightly long crotch length is o.k., but they will truly love a pair that has a more modern, hip fit.
