This is Why I do What I do!

rodezzy | Posted in Quilting and Home Decor on

Ladies, outside of the joyful smile on my friend’s face who received the dolls and quilts I made out of “grandmother’s tableclothes”, I received this message today from the cousin who received her doll and quilt.  I’m all choked up.  This is what fills me.

“Dear Neva,

Thank you so much for the wonderful doll and quilt.  I couldn’t believe it when Lenore gave them to me.  I have to admit, I got pretty misty.  What an incredible way to remember my grandma and the good times – and good food – we had around those tablecloths.  I’ve shown them to everyone who’s come over to my house and everyone agrees with me that you are incredibly creative and talented.  The doll immediately found a home on my bed.  She looks so comfortable there, I think I need to get her some bonbons to complete the scene.  Maybe a glass of champagne, too!  J

Thank you again.  I’ll think of your talent and generosity every time I look at the doll and the quilt.

Mary”
