Threads-Subscription Only Site?

Hello Cherrypops,
I agree with you, Cherrypops, – Amber, please, please do not make this wonderful site a subscriber-only place. I am unemployed and very sad and this is one place that can keep my spirits up. I, too, learn so much from all the wonderful, talented sewers/sewists – I laugh and enjoy the stories as well. Please don’t think I’m unable to understand the reasons for “subscriber only” type access – I do – but businesses must have a heart, too.

Never a consideration----so not to worry----rather I think we all need to work to keep posts on the nice side of spirited discussion, that's all :-)
Thank you Amber, You have put a happy smile on my face again .....
Good!
Thanks, Amber, for that reassurance! Even though I'm fully employed, the price of a Threads subscription is prohibitive for me while trying to get two children through college.
If you ever get pressure from advertisers about us non-subscribers who are nonetheless addicted to Threads, please let them know that we are always paying attention to their ads and products just as the subscribers are.
Good to know!
Due to traveling, etc., subscription isn't convenient. I get it faster by buying it at the stand. I guess, because it costs me more, I always assumed magazines made more profit off the newsstand, but maybe that isn't true. Does anyone know the facts?
Our subscribers are our bread and butter, but that newsstand revenue doesn't hurt either! But Threads and all Taunton magazines operate differently than most magazines. And it's a difference that I like....
Thanks for that reassurance. I am no longer a "subscriber". instead of purchasing it thru the mail, I buy it off the newsstands because I want to keep my copies pristine !! (some of our other magazines never even reached us because someone else decided they needed them more..) I'll pay more at the newsstand but at least I know I've got it and it's in good shape.
We love our newsstand readers! Keep it up!
