time zones

rjf | Posted in General Discussion on

Are the times posted on messages converted to the reader’s time zone?  I can’t believe so many people are up and sending messages at 3 a.m.!        rjf

Well, sewers and knitters can be somewhat obsessive and prone to staying up till the wee hours to work on the latest project, but I think (I'll check with SYSOP) that the posting times are all east coast time, where Taunton is located. Folks on the west coast may be posting at 11 p.m. (their time), but it'll show up as 2 a.m. on the board.

    Hello rjf,

The default time zone for all users is EST (eastern standard time) but any and all users can change the timezone that displays for them by going into there prefs and setting it.

If that does not work for you let me know.

    Mark
