Carol, The discussion on names and the fact that names are not unique led me to try Jean’s hint of clicking on the “to” or “from” name to see the user’s bio. It took a long time to find someone who had joined before March 2002. Is that the result of changing the system to Prospero? And then I tried sending a message to lindamaries but there are two of them. I wonder who it went to. Just curious about the workings of the system. rjf

Yes, I believe it was March last year when we switched to Prospero, and that's why all the names are new since then. However, I recognize names from the previous incarnation of Gatherings, and am happy that many of our early members are still with us. I didn't know much about the email address thing--I guess it's possible to put in an address that doesn't work, and I also suspect that some people may, at some point, have registered twice. I know that I've done that with other sites when I forgot my user name or password (OK, OK, I know that's lame, but I don't always keep good track!).

Hmmmmm. Your father should have brought you up better. I think I might have a couple of registrations on Gatherings, the result of changing servers. As long as I get here. rjf
Hi rjf...I didn't know there are two lindamaries!! I'm going to poke
around and check it out. I might be in there twice.
No I don't think that I am in here two times. I clicked on my name "from" and it says I registered June 2002. That sounds about right.
No I didn't list any bio stuff. Maybe I can put a nice picture of me
in there. I have one taken "years" ago that makes me look very young! Trouble is it might be R rated for the birthday suit.
What a great picture! Maybe I'll try that. rjf
It says the picture has to be 150 PIXELS by 100 pixels. I have Adobe Photo on my computer and could adjust the picture by the pixels.
When I changed one pixel amount to 100 the other pixel automatically came up to about 200. So when I uploaded it, my face got smeshed
because the upload computer was trying to do 150 pixels.
I'm going to see if I can get my face "unsmeshed".

Whooppeee! I got a picture to show up on the Picture Gallery. Just my foot in the toe-up Regia yarn sock but it's a start. rjf
