Torn project by Butterick

DONNAKAYE | Posted in General Discussion on

For those of you who have been following the “torn projects” posts, I thought you might find it interesting that Butterick B4927, View A, is a torn project — that is, no pattern required (just a little measuring).  There are lots of torn projects in the pattern books.  As I come across them, I’ll point them out to you, if that would be helpful, that is…..donna kaye

Donna, that would be really great. Part of learning to sew and fit garments is understanding fabric manipulation, and these no pattern projects are a great hands on way to do just that. Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge and time. I really appreciate it. Cathy

I've been wondering what the term "torn" meant. Shoot, I've been sewing skirts that way for years without even realizing it!

Annie, I answered that for DonnaKaye under the 1966 Bishop Method Excerpt for you. Hope you find it helpful. Cathy
