Toyota SE-05, Any advice on buying one?

MaryB | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

I want to buy a basic machine for small projects, mending, etc. and I am looking at a Toyota SE-06. Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone own one and like it?

I can't speak for that particular model but I can tell you that my parents gave me a Toyota for my 21st birthday over 15 years ago. I made my living for a while making fancy waistcoats for grooms and wedding dresses with it. It has been fantastic. I've never had it serviced (never needed to) and it's sewn everything from lingerie to drapes! It's now with my sister-in-law and as far as I know it's just been used to make another house full of drapes!

Personally, I think they are very good value for money.
