I’ve been making cloth diapers for my grandchildren. And now my grandson is ready for potty training and I want to make some training pants for him in fun prints as an incentive for him to go in the pot and not his underpants. But I can’t find any patterns for underpants for 2-3 yo boys. Only bloomer styles for little girls. Can anyone help me?

I used the bottom of a two piece swim suit pattern to make briefs for my grand son who is allergic to elastic (encased waist). You could double the fabric in the crotch for extra absorbency (just in case!)

PS the little guys do not need a fly opening, they just take everything off!
I hadn't thought of that. I have a bathing suit pattern for a toddler girl that I could use. Thanks.

When I made training pants for my boys I put a layer of heavy cotton knit in the front "pee" panel. I was the kind used for thermal underwear, so it was extra absorbent, and boy oh boy, did it ever save some us from some wet furniture.
I use up to 6 layers of flannel as the soaker panel in the diapers and was planning on doing the same thing only less layers in the training pants. But I'll look for the thermal knit. Thanks.
