Trying to find dotted pattern and man…

….And not having much luck. ;-D Well, I did find a source at the Common Threads fiber art store, however, I would much prefer to find something in my area – Salt Lake City – or at least one other source so I can comparison shop!

I have found a non-iron-on pellon-y stuff that is gridded at a nearby JoAnn’s fabric store, and which I do plan to use this week in lieu of finding what I really want, but I am hoping that someone will be able to point me in the direction of what I deem necessities to my nascent career in designing and making costumes for film as well as robes/cloaks/ritual wear for a local New Age/Pagan boutique.

I need garment labels, too! But I did see the links posted by Lin up the list, and will be researching those sites later on today.

Thanks!

    Hi Marie,

I've gotten most of my extra-wide, full rolls of draping muslin from F.I.D.M. when I lived in Los Angeles (cheap too!). If you don't have a fashion design school close by check your local college or university for fashion design courses. Their students will have to buy it somewhere, either from the school bookstore or from the instructor who has a wholesale source.

Also, I live around the corner from a theater, and was contemplating wandering over there (after working up the nerve) and asking.
