Turning facing

sewingsister2 | Posted in Patterns on

I’m making McCalls 3397. It has a self faced draped front which is stitched to the garmet around the armholes. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to turn the facing in. The pattern calls for leaving an opening at the shoulder (which I did). Now what? Has anyone had trouble figuring this out?

I am thinking that I made a lined vest once where the shoulder seams were left open and the vest was turned inside out through the opening.  I cannot find a reference to this method.........still searching!

This pattern has been reviewed on PatternReview.  Perhaps the member who made the top could help.  I have come up with a blank!

So happy to hear there is still customer service that really can be of help.

Hate it when something like this keeps me awake!

        Sweet dreams......
