Uneven Shoulders

Genie51 | Posted in Fitting on

I have had left shoulder joint replacement.  Because of the changes my shoulder cap is more narrow and sloped down and forward than on the right shoulder.  This causes the necklines of my tops to pull to left.  Is there a way to even the look of both shoulders?  I have tried using a shoulder pad but it was difficult to address all of the fitting issues.
Thank you for any advice!

Do not try to adjust the shoulder and neckline the same on both sides. Use your old pattern for your right shoulder. Adjust your left shoulder for a 'forward' shoulder. Many online postings show this. Best to look at their 'show and tell' of the actual adjustment. Don't worry, you will know you have made the adjustment but it is not visible to the world. I have used this technique in a bridal gown and it was perfect.
