Use care in selecting title

Josefly | Posted in General Discussion on

Be careful what title you use when posting a new topic. I just tried to post a new message, and selected the title “Mystery Fabric”. I should’ve realized that this title had been used before, but that wasn’t a problem in the old forum system. Here and now, though, it is a problem. My message got lost; the topic now listed under Discussions takes you to the original discussion, posted a couple of years ago, and my message is not added to that thread either. I believe the problem also arose a couple of days ago when someone posted a topic called “Help” and someone else posted another one called “HELP!!!!” While both topics are listed in the Discussions list, one of them is inaccessible. Even the addition of several exclamation points didn’t make the title unique. It occurs to me that this may also be related to the sudden inclusion of other “old” topics in the list. This old topics don’t appear to have been updated with new postings, but perhaps they were, and they got lost.

I will let the tech team know about this bug and I will see what we can do to fix this. Thank you for reporting the problem.

Thank you, Vicky. I certainly didn't expect an answer this weekend. Y'all must be working some long hours!
