I love getting inspiration from vintage garments as a way of adding twists to contemporary apparel . . . and I don’t think I’m alone . . . there’s a number of sources out there . . . but, my favorite is the vintage textile website www.vintagetextile.com. The garments and accessories are for sale and I can’t afford anything . . . but, everything is a real treat to look at.
Whoever does this website takes time to photograph the garments and accessories at different angles, close-up, etc. . . . even the linings and other features are frequently photographed. Many images are close enough to show construction techniques.
One fascinating garment there is a lavender silk gentleman’s 3-piece suit (c.1765-1785) . . . Lots of detailed photographs and some interesting information . . . and difficult to imagine a grown man wearing something like that.

Thanks for that link--it's wonderful! Another one I like is http://www.thefrock.com. Some of the items are slightly more affordable, but still it's best for inspiration.

Totally yummy! And you can see the backs without setting off alarms!
Some of the clothing on the website you posted reminds me of the clothes that I was able to inspect closely (but not touch) and photograph in Williamsburg VA. I was in heaven. I loved getting as many detailed shots as I could.
