Would there be any way to get a good close up of the fabric to post here? That might help a little bit.
JT
I don't have a camera to post. It is fairly hefty but not at all stiff and looks like wool knit that is commonly used in ready made pants. They come out of the drier, ready to hang and wear. Fortunately, these still look great, but I want a pair in brown, plum and/ or wine, as well, as this pair of black pants.
Thank you.
Maybe this would work for you. They have it in black also.http://www.lucysfabrics.com/detail.aspx?ID=472
Hello,
Excuse me for "dropping in" but I might have an idea to help you find more of that wonderful fabric - this may sound very silly but have you considered contacting your Visa customer service number for help in tracking down the company you made the original purchase from? You could say you made the purchase three years ago in the amount of $58.00 (just to give you an idea) and could they please give you the company contact info? Hope this doesn't sound too stupid and that it helps you out. Good luck.
Julie
Could you possibly have bought the fabric from Stonemountain and Daughter Fabrics in Oakland, CA? They have many things and will send swatches. There is a website.
I don't know how you washed your fabric, but try washing a 6"square on cold, knits and use a ph neutral fabric. It is supposed to be heat and agitation that felts the fabric. you will probably get some shrinkage but it shouldn't felt.
