I have never heard of a European hem finish. Why don't you ask the person who requested the European hem finish to describe it as you are unfamiliar with the term? It is possible that it is a type of hem with which you are already familiar. Maybe the requestee doesn't know the correct term to use. HTH.

*I know what a european hem is? HORAYWhen altering slacks the hem over the shoe is higher so that the slacks do not have a break over the shoe. Instead of a straight hem the european (or French Hem) is as much as 1/2" longer in the back than the front. So the entire hem is cut on an angle.Good Luck.CMR
