What is the length of circle skirt?
I am a beginner in sewing…
Today, I have decided to stitch a circle skirt..
I surfed online to know the measurements I would need to sew a skirt and got through this circle skirt calculator
In this calculator, input has length of skirt and output also has length of skirt…What is the input length and what is the output length? Please clarify

Good morning, Catherine. I looked at the calculator you mention, and from what I understand, the first length is theh desired finished length. The second one is the radius of the larger circle used to draft the skirt (which includes the waist opening plus the finished skirt length, plus 1 1/2 inches which may be seam allowance or hem, I'm not exactly sure!)
If you're interested in more information on circle skirts, here's a link to a nice online tutorial, which you can access as a Threads Insider (you might want to sign on with our free trial): https://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/22571/how-to-sew-a-festive-circle-skirt
Here's another tutorial, by By Hand London, an independent pattern designer, which explains how to calculate, draft, and cut a circle skirt: http://byhandlondon.com/blogs/by-hand-london/11628453-circle-skirt-maths-explained.
By Hand London works in cm rather than inches, but if you don't mind turning your meauring tape over and using metric, it's easy!
