Where can I get a “Third Hand”?

MelanieofNC | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Hi,

I was reading a sewing book recently “Sewing Edges and Corners”, and they kept referring to something called a “third hand”.  They never did show a picture, but it sounds like something that helps you hold the fabric so you have one hand free.  I’ve checked a few on-line sewing store and don’t find such a thing.

I did an Internet search and the closes thing I found was something that looks like a little clamp on a stand, it was called a “Jeweler’s Third Hand”.

Anyone know where I might purchase a “Third hand” for sewing?

Many thanks!

Melanie

I imagine they are available on other on-line catalogs too. (I searched for sewing third hand. )
