Where do the authors come from?

Elisabeth | Posted in Feedback on Threads on

The authors who know something about sewing must come from somewhere. I wonder if 20+ years of sewing isn’t the perfect resume for a Threads author. Threads magazine asks not for finished and perfectly (professionally) written articles but for ideas and proposals for articles from individuals who want to share their knowledge. The editors work along with these individuals to make the writing and article happen.

A lifetime of sewing experience includes some gem no matter how mundane that sewing life has seemed to the person living it day to day. I encourage everyone here, myself included, to look at our sewing experiences with a different eye. Don’t think your personal experience is dull, there are plenty of people who would love to pick your brain about some sewing topic that you have earned knowledge about simply by living and doing. It would keep the spirit of Threads alive.
