I shop at Hancock Fabrics in Metairie, Louisiana, also at The Quilt Cottage on Nashville Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Quilt Cottage is a little high but the cotton fabric is wonderful to work with. I make quilts and garments. I am taking sewing classes right now to refresh my sewing in garment construction. Sometimes I buy cottons, some other material is bought for garments at Hancock Fabrics. We also have Joann’s Fabrics and Crafts on Veterans in Metairie. I found that Joann is not as good as Hancock or The Quilt Cottage.

I also shop at Hancock Fabric and Wally's world in Marrero, Louisiana! Small world. I haven't been to JoAnn's since Katrina and others destroyed Oakwood Mall. I do order a lot of stuff from Ken's sewing in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, mostly notions. Take that back, the last thing I got from Ken's was a sewing/embroidery machine. I've run on again...
