Where is Cherrypops?

Crazy K | Posted in General Discussion on

I hear about the terrible fires in Australia and I know several members live there but foremost in my mind is Cherrypops……..does anyone know how she is??  Are they affected?  I’m not familiar with areas so I don’t know if she lives near the firest or not.  Can you tell……geography was not my best subject??

If anyone knows or info about any of the Aussie gals on here………could you post?  I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s thought of them.

Kay

Cherrypops is in Sydney; the fires are in the Melbourne area.  As far as I know she's home in Sydney - her son's back at school.

Our thoughts are with our Australian friends in this terrible time.

Thank you ........the first sounds just awful.  I have a distant cousin living there, too, and have sent a message to his sister.........hoping to hear that he's o.k., too.

Prayers go out to all there.........hard to imagine.  We just have rain/ice to deal with here......even though I don't like ice, it's better than raging fires.

I think Cherrypops is a bit north of Sydney. There have been fires in the Sydney area as well. Let's hope she checks in soon.

    Hello everybody

Cherrypops thanks us for our concern; she's safe and happy with her family on Sydney's Northern Beaches, and will return soon. Thomas is back at school and life is busy. I'm sure she'll have lots to tell and share when she's back. Those of us whose kids are gone from the house - remember those days? Did you,  like me, dream of all the time we'd have one day? And now? Well, I miss a lot about those days!

I also heard from Cherrypops. She said that she could see smoke from smaller fires last weekend, but the fires had not approached her neighborhood. Also, her family in Victoria was safe.

They are saying now at least some of these fires are from arsonists?? I do hope our Aussie friends stay safe and out of harms way.

Cherrypops isn't near the fires.  I have a cousin living near Melbourne to the south and I guess they're o.k., too, according to his sister.  I've heard the arsonist stories as well and I think when they find who set the fires, those folks will be tried for mass murder......at least that was word on one TV station.

It's awful...........the folks there are in my thoughts and prayers daily.
