where to find large bra cups?

nmog | Posted in General Discussion on

I will be sewing a swimsuit this summer and I’m looking for bra or swimsuit cups that come in a DD-DDD size.  I can add underwire to them if needed, but I haven’t found anywhere that supplies this size of cup. Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Perhaps you could make your own? Carol reminded me of the http://www.sewsassy.com site in another discussion recently. They have swimsuit cup foam, underwires, etc.

      Hello.

Making my own is a good idea, but I can't get my head around it. I'm a DD+ cup - would I need to form the foam somehow? I've made other cups more supportive by adding underwire and channeling, but I'm not sure how to use straight foam. I'll email sewsassy and see if they have any ideas.

      Thank you!

        Hi

I am new to this gathering, but for large bra cup foam, or bra patterns and wires which include your range try Bramakers Supply up in Canada.

Their website is http://www.bramakers.com.  They have great books, videos and even their catalogue is loaded with information.  They have provided excellent service along with top flight products.

Thank you for the good idea. I live in Canada, so it will be nice not to have to convert the dollar to figure out the price! I've already emailed them, so I'm sure I'll get some results soon.

          Thanks again.

Nicole, there's a great resource called--I kid you not--The Wizard of Bras. Now they have a website at http://www.woblingerie.com. They specialize in larger sizes (cups are listed under Bra Accessories) but are definitely not limited to that. I've found discontinued bras there.
