worth fixing

TurtleBoy | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Hello all,

I’m looking for advice on an old sewing machine that I got from my mother. I’d like to get it updated with a  new cord that has a ground and perhaps a “tune up”, but I do not know anything about it. It is a VISETTI and it is in an old wooden cabinet. Does anyone now if these machines are any good?

Also is there a web site that I could go to to get a reconditioned sewing machine like a PFAFF or Viking or the like?

Thanks in advance, turtleboy

Wow! Did you reallyfirst  post this two years ago?

I do not know anything about the machine you have.Never heard of it. If you want an older machine you may have to try a dealer, Ebay or maybe sewing rummage. The brands you list don't generaly sell online ..just private parties mostly.

There are a lot of good deals on machines on Ebay but you should ask lots of questions about any machine you are interested in .Pfaffs are almost always good machines in the older models.

      Good luck!

Thanks for the help, I'll be looking into the pfaff because my wife is 1/2 German and her mom has one that she likes a lot. I may not be able to get it thus holiday season but I'll keep this in mind.

        Thanks, Turtleboy
