Hi! I’m brand new to this forum and would just like to say, “Wow!” I was able to read a number of posts and, with pen and paper in hand, came up with an impressive list of website, magazines, etc. to follow up on! I just adore sewing and am finally inspired to sew some clothes for myself. What finally drove me to this point? I’m nearly 7 months pregnant with son number two, have designer tastes, but also a husband with a loving focus on funneling our money into retirement plans, paying off student loans (done this month — yay!), child-related expenses, eating out, etc! Also adding to the mix, I’m 5’1″ with an hour-glass figure that includes a 36DDD bustline. Lucky me, huh!? So again, “Wow!” and thank you for a wonderfully informative place to peruse and share!! I can hardly wait to begin making some customized slopers!
Kindly, Adrianna

A loving husband, a child, a baby on the way, and a paid-off student loan! WOW!! Welcome to the group, and let us know how you are doing with words and pictures. God bless you. Galey
Thank you so much for such a warm welcome, Galey! Blessings to you, too!
Welcome aboard! I personally can teach how to hide fabric in the trunk of the car.
With two online fabric purchases on the way via mail, I just may need all the secret-hiding-places advice I can get!! Ha!!
Sometimes the trick is to let it age in the trunk and then bring into the house. Then when asked if it is new just nod your head no and say "I've had it awhile." Works every time. LOL
Very slick... I like that!!!
ROFLOL!! I do this too (age purchases). We also have the "double jeopardy rule". Hubby can only complain once per purchase - so if he sees me actually making something out of (or with) the "aged" purchase, he cannot complain again if he already complained when I "revealed" it.
Welcome aboard, Adrianna. I'm new to this too and I, like you, thought, WOW! It's the greatest. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I also filled up my bookmarks with new sites. There is one lady in here who knows EVERYTHING! Sorry I cannot remember her name right now, but you've probably already discovered her. What a resource of valuable information. She gives all the credit to Google, but my Google searches never turn up that much valuable information!
