This is a fitted knee length wool dress with curved seams joining two solid colors. I developed the pattern from a Basic Torso Sloper. Threds article “Add Style with Graphic Fabric Insertions has inspired me to transfer all dart excess into the curved seams. Each seam line is drawn by hand. Techniques covered in this article were very helpful in completing this design. Thank you Threads!

This is GREAT! I have never done much color blocking but this has inspired me to try it. I will check out the article you mentioned.
Wow! You have done an amazing job on this dress, it is beautiful!

MAGNIFICENT!! What is the fabric?
Thanks so much everyone for your positive feedback!!!! SharonBendall this is medium weight wool, it took two dresses to get the seams right :) The challenge was in transferring darts into curved seams making the seams curved in two dimensions. Thanks to Threads for lots of useful info!!!

All those curves!!! You have a goof eye for detail and wonderful sewmanship.
This is really beautiful. It looks a little like the YSL dresses that he did with the lips and the woman's body. He did them in wool knit. This is very nicely done. May I ask what the inside looks like? How did you finish the seams?
