How to Sew Ruffled Curtains

Keep your favorite colors on display in your home décor with a café curtain fashioned like a soft waterfall. Juliette Lanvers demonstrates how to make this decorating project in this project from Quick Stuff to Sew, Vol. 5

The finished curtain is a standard café size, 44 inches wide by 36 inches long. Use a selection of cotton gauzes for an ombré effect, as shown, or select a medley of colorful prints to create an eye-pleasing palette. The sewing is uncomplicated, whichever style you choose. The fabric sections are rectangles, and all the seams are straight lines.

Enjoy the curtain in a kitchen, bathroom, or breakfast nook…wherever a cheerful fabric selection and your own handiwork would make you smile.
