I am a silk artist who dyes silks in many ways, creating scarves, coats and jackets. But what to do with my scraps? I have loved handbags since I was two, so why not make them into silk scrap bags? Multicolored, multi-dyed scraps of a variety of silks are sewn together onto fleece backing, then quilted with a free motion foot. Then it’s sewn to a lining that already has a craftfuse backing, Add a hand-made clasp of my own design and Voila!
