Marfy 3182

Marfy 3182 Front View

Marfy 3182 made from fabric I purchased at Janssens and Janssens in Paris. The jacket is underlined with silk organza and interfaced with hair canvas. Although Marfy doesn’t include any patterns for the hair canvas it was definitely needed to support the collar and front. Marfy patterns are for experienced sewers and it is up to you to figure out where and how to add the support. I used silk peau de soie for the contrast bands and changed the sleeve trim to include a decorative vent. The jacket is lined in silk charmeuse. Lining patterns also need to be drafted by the sewer. More details about the construction can be found on my blog:http://www.cloningcouture.com. Thanks for looking.
