My beautiful daughter is modeling the dress I made for her bachelorette getaway in anticipation of her wedding on 5/15/15. Using McCall’s 6557, I made the dress of satin with a bodice overlay of a sparkle jersey knit. I customized the dress to include a petticoat made of taffeta and with double shimmery illusion ruffles. The petticoat is detachable, with hook/eye tape sewn to the midriff lining and to the petticoat.Â

It looks just lovely on her! Lucky daughter to have such a loving and talented mom. The petticoat makes it extra special.
Hope the softer side of the hook&eye tape (NOT the hook side) was the part that remains in the dress -- I have experience with the hook side against my skin (under an arm splint), and it can be agonizing.
Your daughter looks radiant!
