My son and daughter-in-law were going to Greece for their 20th wedding anniversary.  This was the perfect occasion to make something special, so using Vogue pattern 8648 I fit the muslin to her and then made the dress from silk 4 ply crepe fabric purchased in 2008 in NYC with Dennise in mind.   The dress is fully linied in Bemberg lining so it would feel good when she wore it.  Also included were an invisible zipper and bra strap guards.The hem has horsehair braid in it to give it a little lift. Much of the lining was put in by hand.  As you can tell from the picture even the wind cooperated.
