This review was originally featured in Threads #175 (October/November 2014).
These straight-leg pants are shaped with waist darts in the front and back and enhanced with contrasting trim along the waistband’s top edge, mock flap pocket, and hemline. The pants have slant pockets, a fly front, and slits at the hemline that fasten with three buttons. Be sure to add seam and hem allowances to Marfy patterns because they are not included. There are also no sewing instructions. However, the tissue pattern has letters that correspond with the match points, and our tester said the sewing was straightforward. This pattern is ideal for linen, cotton, twill, and wool.
(Sized European 42-50 for hips 34.6-42.5 in.)
Style Tip: The contrasting trim is most flattering on tall and slim figures. If you are on the petite side, skip the trim, or keep it in the same color family.
