Student creations with their plastic canvas project...here is a "Hello Kitty" creation...
One of my favorite beginning sewing project at school is plastic canvas! It is very inexpensive and really gets the student’s creative juices flowing. I have a book that I keep past students copies of what they created, or the student can design their own! It is a lot of fun and great motivator. These projects go on the ‘back burner’ while we quickly move on to other sewing projects.
I love the jesus project. Do you have a pattern? I would be happy to pay for it.
Easy enough to creat yourself, actually! I just used Word to create "Jesus" in the font of choice...then enlarged on a copy machine to get it the size I wanted for the canvas...built a border and background color scheme...and the vine was free handed on the paper before I traced the whole design on the plastic canvas...there is a pattern for the background stitch that makes small boxes and covers the canvas much faster...continental stitch...
